Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, January 1, 1999 
Minnie Elizabeth Painter, 93, of the 400 block of New York Ave., died Dec. 28,
1998.

Born in Norfolk County, she was the daughter of the late John and Annie
Whitehurst Cuffee. She was a former member of New Calvary Baptist Church and was
preceded in death by her husband, Warren G. Painter and a daughter, Lorraine A.
Jones.

Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy P. Taylor of Norfolk; 13 grandchildren; 21
great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; three nephews; two nieces;
and many great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon Monday at Macedonia Holiness Church, Norfolk, by
the Rev. Anthony Moses. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . E.A. Hughes Funeral
Home is in charge.
