Elizabeth "Betty" Ramsey Pajuf, 79, of the 300 block of West Freemason St., passed 
away Thursday, June 20, 2002. She was a retired civil service employee, having 
worked at the Naval Supply Center for more than 30 years. Born in Cunningham, 
N.C., she was the daughter of the late Nettie May Pulliam Ramsey and John Henry 
Ramsey.

Mrs. Pajuf was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Norfolk-Virginia 
Beach Executives Club, Retired Officers Wives Club, the Virginia Symphony League, 
and the Navy Supply Center Retired Association.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph J. Pajuf; her daughter, Brenda Wood 
McGonegal of Richmond; a sister, Louise Lester of Roxboro, N.C.; a brother, Melvin 
Ramsey of Frankfort, Ky.; two grandsons, Robert Barrett Wood III of Norfolk and 
Edward Aaron Wood of Alexandria, Va.; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was 
preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Paul Puchacz.

A funeral Mass will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Sacred Heart Catholic Church 
by Father Joseph H. Metzger III. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic 
Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Cox Funeral Home Sunday from 3 to 4 
p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's
