Norfolk - Mrs. Mattie J. Palin of 3824 Powhatan Ave., the widow of Jonas Palin 
Sr., died March 9 in a Portsmouth hospital.

A native of Charles City, she was a member of First Baptist Church, Lamberts 
Point.

Survivors include two sons, Nathaniel Palin and Jonas Palin Jr. of Norfolk.

A funeral service was held March 13 in First Baptist Church, Lamberts Point, by 
the Rev. M. L. Williams.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with Riddick Funeral 
Service in charge.
