Funeral service will be held Friday, May 14, at 1 p.m. at Grace Episcopal Church with the rector, the Rev. Richard B. Martin, in charge. Mrs. Palmer was one of the old citizens of Tidewater, her parents being among the best known residents of this area. Mrs. Palmer, a native of Hampton, VA, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James H. Parker. She was a retired teacher of the Norfolk public school system. She was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, and Hampton Alumni Association. Mrs. Palmer graduated from Hampton Institute with the class of 1900. Survivors are her husband, C. A. Palmer; three daughters, Mrs. Robert Harrison, and Mrs. Richard Dixon, of Washington DC; and Mrs. John Capps, of Orangeburg SC; two grandsons of Washington DC, and three sons-in-law.
