Joe L. Palmer, age 46, died May 3 in a local hospital.  He lived at 322 
Chestnut street.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Palmer of Macon, NC.  Besides his 
parents, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bernice Palmer, 6 children, 3 
brothers, 3 sisters, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 7 at the Morning Glory Funeral 
Chapel at 2 p.m.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.  Morning Glory Funeral 
Home was in charge.
