Virginian Pilot Monday July 27, 1925
Erle Hughes Palmer, aged 33, died yesterday morning at 4:30 o'clock at a 
hospital after a brief illness, He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah C. 
Palmer; a son, Emmett Palmer; his mother, Mrs. Lottie Y. Palmer; four sisters, 
Mrs. Paul Ives, Mrs. A. W. Calcott, Mrs. Millard C. Norman, Portsmouth, and 
Miss Virginia Palmer; a brother, N,. H. Palmer, and three nieces. Mr. Palmer 
was formerly manager of the Norfolk Cigar & Tobacco Co, Funeral services will 
be held at the home, 301 West Indian River road, Tuesday afternoon at 4 
o'clock. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
