The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Wednesday June 9, 1943
Mrs. Anna Marie Tillett Palumbo, aged 26, wife of Patrick Palumbo and daughter
of Mrs. Malissie Twiford Tillett and the late Willie Tillett, died at a local
hospital Monday night at 9:40 o'clock. Mrs. Palumbo, a lifelong resident of this
section, resided in Princess Anne County at the time of her death. Besides her
husband, Patrick Palumbo, she is survived by a daughter, Barbara Anne Palumbo; a
son, Patrick Edward Palumbo; her mother, Mrs. Malissie Twiford Tillett, of
Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Leslie Browning, of Norfolk, and Mrs. Ernest Pilley,
of East Portlock, and six brothers, Willie Tillett of Oceana; Samuel and Durwood
Tillett,both of Norfolk; Woodrow Tillett, of Ohio; James Tillett, of New
Orleans; and Wesley Tillett, U. S. C. G. Funeral services will be held at the
chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, Friday
afternoon at 3 o'clock. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery
