Pamplin, son of Colonel and Mrs. N. C. Pamplin formerly of Norfolk, his death having ensued after an operation for appendicitis. He was thought to have passed the critical stage following the operation and his recovery was confidently expected. He was a native of Norfolk and was formerly an operator at the Western Union telegraph office in this city of which his father was for many years manager. He left here several years ago and at the time of his death was connected with the Philadelphia offices of the Carnegie Steel Company. Colonel and Mrs. Pamplin moved from Norfolk to Philadelphia some months ago. The deceased was a most promising and very popular young man and had numerous relatives and friends in this city, who will regret exceedingly to hear of his demise. He was 23 years of age. Besides his parents he is survived by a brother N.C. Pamplin, Jr. The remains will arrive here early Friday morning and the funeral will take place from the N.Y.P. &N. Railroad steamer on its arrival from Cape Charles.
