NORFOLK - Mrs. Carolina B. Panella, 81, of 419 W. 35th St., widow of Giuseppe 
Panella and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Briglia, died in a Norfolk hospital 
Sunday at 3:18 a.m.
A native of Italy, she lived in Norfolk most of her life. She was a member of 
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Lodge Cuore Dimaria Gorizia 619, O.S.I.A., and 
Sodality of the church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Spiros Karseras, and Mrs. Scott Evans of 
Norfolk, and Mrs. Ralph DeMarco of Virginia Beach; four sons, Frank Joseph 
Panella, James Vincent Panella, Tony M. Panella and Johnny B. Panella, all of 
Norfolk, 12 grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
The body will be taken from Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home to Blessed Sacrament 
Catho1ic Church for a funeral service Tuesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Catholic Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited in the funeral home tonight 
at 8 p.m.
