Antonio Panella, 86, retired Norfolk merchant, died yesterday at noon at his 
residence, 212 East 40th Street, Riverview.
A native of Italy, he was the son of Frank and Mrs. Isabella Vita Panella, and had 
resided in Norfolk for the past 53 years.
He was a member of the Sons of Italy and of the Italian Benevolent Society.
In addition to his wife, Mrs. Mary Panella, he is survived by two sons, Joseph A. 
Panella and John J. Panella; a sister, Mrs. Catherine Vita; three grandchildren 
and one great-grandchild, all of Norfolk.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Blessed Sacrament 
Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Rosary services will be held at the residence tonight at 8 o’clock.
