Paolucci, 73, passed away Aug. 27, 2008, in a local hospital. Born in Riccia, Campobasso, Italy, he later relocated to Montefalcione, Avellino, where he met his bride. In 1966, Frank accepted a position as a tailor with Shulman's men's clothier, making the transatlantic relocation with his wife and eldest daughter. Along with his wife and best friend, Mina, he was the longtime owner and operator of the Ghent Seamstress and Tailor Shop. In addition to his wife of 46 years, other survivors include daughters, Maria P. Rowe and husband, Mark of Norfolk and Josephine P. Summa and husband, Eric of Jacksonville, Fla.; three grandchildren, Alexandra, Mia and Dominic; his mother, Maria Paolucci of Montefalcione, Italy; sisters, Antonietta Pagliuca of Avellino, Italy, Rosetta LaCara of Weymouth, Mass., Pia Pezzano of Monteforte, Italy, and Alba Reda of Montaperto, Italy; brothers, Teofilo Paolucci of Boston and Antonio Paolucci of Montefalcione, Italy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 520 Graydon Ave., Norfolk, at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 4. The family will receive friends at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk Chapel, today from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Sacred Heart Church Capital Campaign at the address above. At 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30, a memorial Mass was held in Frank's honor at the Santuario di Sant'Antonio in Montefalcione, Italy. It was attended by family and the many friends and colleagues he left behind after moving to the United States. Frank was born in Italy, but he was a proud American who loved his family, his country and the many customers who visited the Ghent Seamstress and Tailor Shop.
