Virginian-Pilot  October 19, 1940
Francesco Papa, aged 75, husband of Mrs. Giovannina Greco Papa, a native of Italy 
and a resident of Norfolk for a number of years, died at the residence, 1057 East 
Brambleton avenue, last night at 8:40 o’clock. Mr. Papa was a member of St. Mary’s 
Catholic Church and Roma Lodge, Sons of Italy. Besides his wife, he is survived by 
two sons, William Dominic and Joseph Anthony Papa, both of Norfolk, and one 
brother in Italy.
The body was taken to the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, 
pending funeral arrangements.
