Norfolk Virginian Tuesday October 9, 1894

Mrs. M.E. Parham, a widow, aged 38 years, daughter of Mr. R.E. Bland, and who 
lived with him at 22 Rose avenue, was found dead Sunday morning.  She had been 
quite sick but her death was not expected.  She was a member of the Park Avenue 
Presbyterian Church, from which the funeral took place at 3 o'clock yesterday, 
Rev. E.B. McCluer, officiating.  The following are the names of the pallbearers:  
Messrs. John W Barbour, David Corprew, C.A. Field, Isaac P. Jernigan, Frank D. 
Pinkerton and W. H. Sterling.  Interment was in Elmwood.
