Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, May 1, 2003 
George Parham of the 2400 block of Minnesota Ave., died April 26, 2003. Born in
Norfolk, he was a son of the late Bessie and William Parham . He was a retired
oven operator for Flowers Bakery after 39 years of service and was a former
member of Second Calvary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley E. Parham ; four daughters, Angela P. Vann,
Audrey Alexander, Sheryl Parham , Christina Parham and Chrystal Parham ; a son,
George T. Parham Jr. (Georgia); a sister, Audrey P. Mason; four brothers,
William Parham , Minister Edward Parham (Kim), James Parham and the Rev. Melvin
Parham (Yvonne); seven grandchildren; two god daughters, Jamell and Tamara
James; mother-in-law, Teresa Etheridge; and numerous other family and friends.

A funeral will be held today at 1 p.m. at Westminster Baptist Church by Minister
Edward Parham Sr. with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk. Hale Funeral Home is
in charge.
