Parham , 69, passed away April 3 at Eden Springs Nursing Center, Tallahassee, of complications from pneumonia. He was a member of and ordained at Cedar Street Memorial Baptist of Church of God, Richmond, Va. He is former pastor of First Baptist Inst. Church, Antioch Baptist Church and founder of Colossians Baptist Church, Lakeland, Fla. Prior to moving his family to Florida he was pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church, Lanexa, Va., and Little Fork Baptist Church, Cartersville, Va., and professor at Virginia Union University, J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College and Richmond Virginia Seminary, Richmond. He attended Maryland State, Princess Anne, Md., earned a bachelor of science degree in history from North Carolina A&T State University, a master of Education degree, Ohio University, a master of Divinity and doctorate of Divinity degrees from Richmond Virginia Seminary. Known as a "Preacher's Preacher," he served others and gave genuine care to the lost. Survived by his wife of 35 years, Yvonne; four daughters, Andrea Yarborough, Norfolk, Melanie, Tallahassee; Randalyn Storey (Ken) and Sunji of Baltimore; seven grandchildren, Darrius, Jevarius and Jalen Parham , Tallahassee, Paris and Kenuantae Storey, Baltimore; Kiara Yarborough, Jai'Lah Cole of Norfolk; a great-grandchild, Diamond Steward, Norfolk; two brothers, William and Minister Edward Parham (Kim); a sister, Audrey Mason; two sisters-in-law, Shirley and Daisy Parham , all of Norfolk; and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces, and longtime friends. A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in Second Calvary Baptist Church, 2940 Corprew Ave., Norfolk. Friends may share condolences at www.halefuneralhome.com.
