Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, February 14, 2008 
NORFOLK - Walter Richard "Bird or Sonny" Parham Jr., 73, died Feb. 10, 2008. He
attended Booker T. Washington High School and graduated in 1953. He worked for
Fine's Men Shop as a warehouseman until retirement. Walter leaves to cherish his
loving memory his wife of 32 years, Barbara A. Parham; a daughter, Vickie S.
Johnson (Parish); a sister, L. Bernice Peebles; two granddaughters, Vinisia S.
Guzauskis (Jon) and Rhonda Johnson; a great-grandson, Jaleen P. Guzauskis; two
brothers-in-law; two sisters-in- law; two close friends, Nobel Lee Whitney and
Kenneth Howell; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Calvary Baptist Church.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
