The Virginian Pilot Tuesday February 11, 1958
Mrs. Bessie Vogler Parker, 82, 303 Hardy Ave., died at a Norfolk Hospital 
yesterday at 1:45 p.m. after an illness of four years.
She was a native of Salisbury, N.C., and had resided in this area for the 
past 65 years.
She was the daughter of the late Lewis Eugene and Margaret Earnhart Vogler 
and wife of the late Alton Eldridge Parker.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. E. Westley Herrington and Mrs. Edythe 
Lakeman; two brothers, George E. Vogler, of Salisbury and William R. Vogler, 
Norfolk; two grandchildren E. Westley Herrington Jr. and Eldridge L. 
Herrington and seven nieces and nephews.
She was a member of the Memorial Methodist Church.
The body was taken to the Sykes Funeral Home, where funeral services will be 
conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
