He was a lifelong resident of Berkley. He was a son of the late William Clay and Mrs. Virginia Bowen Parker, and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie L. Vogler Parker; two daughters, Mrs. R.E. Lakeman, of Washington, D.C.; Mrs. E.W. Herrington, of Norfolk; two brothers, W.C. Parker, L.W.D. Parker; a sister, Mrs. Arthur Steele, of South Norfolk, and two grandchildren. Mr. Parker was a member of Dorcas Lodge No. 44, A.F. & A.M., Berkley; Ionic Royal Arch Chapter No. 46, Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, Norfolk & Southern Relief Association, Oakdale Lodge No. 70, I.O.F.; Chesapeake Tribe No. 50, Improved Order of Red Men; Berkley Aerie 795, the Eagles. He was an active member of Memorial Methodist Church. The body was moved to the Sykes Funeral Home, Berkley. Funeral services will be conducted in Memorial Methodist Church, Friday at 3 p.m. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
