Newark, NJ - Mrs. Minnie Brooks Parker of 479 S. 13th street died in her home.

A native of Prince George county, VA, she was a daughter of John and Mrs. Eliza 
J. Brooks.

She was a member of New Mount Hermon Baptist church and its usher board and an 
employee of Reynold’s Manufacturing Co.

Surviving is a foster son, Lee Parker of California;  four foster daughters, 
Miss Geraldine Parker, Miss Evelyn Parker, Miss Vernice Parker, and Mrs. 
Wilhelmina Ardister of Newark;  a sister, Mrs. Blanche Overton of Norfolk;  and 
nine grandchildren.

Services were held in New Mount Hermon Baptist Church by the Rev. James Powell.  
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk, with Hale Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.
