Parker, died last evening at 9:10 o'clock, after a lingering illness, at the family residence, 33 Pendleton street, in the 49th year of her age. The deceased was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Warren VanDeventer of New Jersey and was a native of that state, but spent the most of her life in Berkley ward. She was a member of the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church and was well known and highly esteemed. She is survived by her husband, four children, Mrs. F. H. Smith, Mrs. Nathan L. Parker, Mrs. Martin Leavitt and W.W. Parker--a brother, Rev. Robert VanDeventer, now in Europe, and a sister, Mrs. Mattie S. Wrenn of Walnut street. The funeral will be conducted from the Berkley Avenue Baptist Church Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
