George W. Parker, aged 54, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Parker and former resident of Berkley, died this morning at 12:30 o'clock at his home near Portlock, on the Great Bridge Boulevard, after an illness of two weeks. He was a member of the Memorial Methodist Church and of Chesapeake Lodge No. 50, Improved Order of Red Men. He was a former member of the Berkley Police Force. Besides his wife, Mrs. Emma Marwitz Parker, he is survived by two sons, George W. Parker, Jr., and Charles Herman Parker and one daughter, Mrs. Laura Elizabeth Baker (Parker). Funeral arrangements will be announced later. ************ PARKER -- At his residence, on Great Bridge boulevard, near Portlock, Norfolk County, Sunday morning, August 2, 1925, at 12:30 o'clock, CAPTAIN GEORGE W. PARKER, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Parker, native of Berkley, aged 54 years. Parker - Funeral services for Captain Parker, who died Sunday morning at his home on the Great Bridge boulevard, will be conducted at the funeral home of J.R. Williams, 13 Chesapeake avenue, South Norfolk, this afternoon at 5 o'clock. Chesapeake Tribe No. 50, Improved Order of Red Men, of which he was a member has been called to attend the services in a body. Burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
