Parker of this city, died last evening at 6:15 o'clock, after an illness of seven months, at her home, 102 Main Street. Mrs. Parker was a daughter of the late Thomas H. and Mrs. Martha Hedrick Howey, Wilmington, N.C., but had lived in this city and Norfolk County fifty years, her late husband having served Norfolk County as judge of the courts several terms. Mrs. Parker is survived by a sister, Miss Mary D. Howey; two brothers, William M. and George P. Howey, of Wilmington; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Lena Ottley Parker and granddaughter, Miss Mary Ottley Parker, of this city. Mrs. Parker was one of the best known women on this side of the river, and was held in high esteem. In earlier life she was active in church and philanthropic work, having been a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. **************************************************************** The funeral of Mrs. Urbanna Howey Parker, widow of Judge George D. Parker, will be conducted in St. Thomas Episcopal Church this afternoon at 4 o'clock and burial will be in the family lot in Magnolia Cemetery.
