He was a native of Bedford County, North Carolina, and had made his home in this section 24 years. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Parker, and husband of Mrs. Mallie Meador Parker. Besides his wife, he is survived by seven children, Voight, Hortense Virgie, Otha Thomas Jr., Frances, Janice and Doris Parker; four brothers, Letcher Parker, Roanoke; William and John Parker, Lynchburg, and Joseph Parker, Washington DC, and three sisters, Mrs. J. E. Franklin, Mrs. W. Huddleston, Bedford County, and Mrs. M. Phelps, Lynchburg. He was a member of the Campostella Heights Baptist Church. The body was removed to the funeral home of Graham & Sykes, 124 East Berkley Avenue. Funeral services will be conducted at the family residence, 1411 Colon avenue, Campostella Heights, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o’clock.
