William C. Parker, one of Berkley Ward's oldest residents, died yesterday morning at 10:15 o'clock at the family residence, 107 Pearl Street, after a year's illness. He was 67 years old, a native of York County, Md., but had been a resident of Norfolk County the past 36 years. He was for many years a pilot in the employ of the Old Dominion Steamship Company and was well known in marine circles. He is survived by his wife, one sister, Mrs. William Bangs of Malden, Mass. and five children, Mrs. G.H. Straud and Messrs. Calvin V. Parker, Elton E. Parker, W.C. Parker Jr. and Louis W.D. Parker. The notice of the funeral will appear later. *************************************************************************** The funeral of the late Captain William C. Parker will be conducted from the family residence in Pearl Street this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Rev. T. McN. Simpson, D.D., the pastor of Memorial M.E. Church, will officiate and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Parker was conducted from the family residence, 107 Pearl Street, yesterday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock and was quite largely attended. Rev. T. McN. Simpson, D.D., pastor of Memorial M.E. Church, conducted the services and the remains were laid to rest in Magnolia Cemetery. The following gentlemen acted as pallbearers: W.P. McConville, Henry Mayo, R.A. McPherrin, W.W, Harris, G.W. Stroud and J.J. Harrison.
