Norfolk - Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Parker of 1308 Church street will be 
held Sunday, March 15 at 1:30 at First Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. C. 
E. Griffin officiating.  Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery under direction of 
Hale Funeral Home.

Mrs. Parker, a native of Brunswick County, was a daughter of Mrs. Minnie L. 
Smith and the late John Smith and widow of Alphonso Parker.

She was a member of the Missionary Society and P. J. Wallace Club of First 
Calvary.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Helen R. 
Patterson of Norfolk;  two brothers, Herman Smith of the Bronx, NY;  and Jesse 
Smith of Baltimore MD;  two sisters, Mrs. Otelia Broughton of Los Angeles, and 
Mrs. Lorraine James of Richmond CA;  and seven grandchildren.
