Parkerson Sr. Norfolk-James Henry Parkerson Sr., 77, of 1418 Kingston Ave., died in his home Thursday morning. He was the husband of Mrs. Blanche Ross Parkerson and a son of James Henry and Mrs. Mary Ann Creamer Parkerson. A native of Norfolk County, he was a lifelong resident of the Norfolk area. He was a Baptist, a member of Ocean View Masonic Lodge 335, and a Navy veteran of World War I. He retired as a leadingman in the ordnance department of St. Julien’s Ammunition Depot. Besides his widow, he is survived by a son, James Henry Parkerson Jr. of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Mrs. Shirley Parkerson Conrad of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Addie Tucker of Virginia Beach; and three grandchildren. A funeral services will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive, Saturday at 12:30 p.m. by the Rev. Hiram L. Harrison of Ocean View Baptist Church. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
