Virginian Pilot January 14, 1965 

Jake Parks of 1518 1/2 Jamaica Ave., husband of the late Mrs. Maggie F. Parks, 
died Tuesday in a hospital after a long illness.
A native of McCormick, S.C., he was a son of Jack and Mrs. Elna Parks. He was a 
retired maintenance man. 
Surviving are four sons, Luther Parks of Norfolk, James Parks of Baltimore, Robert 
Parks of New York and Whitt Parks of Florida and six grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in Hale Funeral Home. Burial will 
be in Calvary Cemetery.
