Virginian Pilot, Tuesday, Oct. 5,1937
Colbourn C. Parks - Funeral services for Mr. Parks, who was fatally injured in a
fight in Portland, ME, allegedly by a shipmate, Ivan Hanson, aboard the collier
Oakey L. Alexander, and whose body arrived here yesterday morning over the
Norfolk & Western Railway, will be held this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the
James V. Derry Funeral Home, 346 West Princess Anne road.  The Rev. C. J.
Hollandsworth, of the Lafayette Presbyterian Church, will officiate.  Burial
will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
