Funeral announcement later *************************************************************** JOB THOMAS PARKS DIES AFTER LINGERING ILLNESS Job Thomas Parks ,one of the best known citizens of the ward, died yesterday morning at 1 o'clock, at the family residence, 403 Berkley avenue, after an illness of nearly a year's duration. He underwent an operation several months ago and for a while there were bright prospects of his recovery, but shortly afterwards he suffered a relapse and continued to grow worse. The deceased was in the 74th year of his age, and was born in Maryland, but had been a resident of this section more than forty years. He was employed by the Greenleafe Johnson Lumber Company forty-five years. He was an elder of Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church and is survived by three sons and three daughters. They are C.W., J.H. and J.F. Parks, Miss Lillian Parks, Mrs. I.T. Bell and Miss Mamie Parks, all of this place. The funeral will be conducted from Armstrong Memorial Presbyterian Church this afternoon at 3:30 o'clock, the pastor, Rev. C.S. Lingamfelter, officiating, and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
