Norfolk Virginian Pilot August 20, 1938 

PARKS, JOHN H.- At his residence, 129 East Berkley avenue, Thursday afternoon, 
August 18, 1938, at 2:30 o'clock, in the 73rd year of his age.  He was the son 
of the late J.T. and E.V. Disharoon Parks.  Funeral services will be conducted 
SATURDAY AFTERNOON at 4 o'clock at the residence.  Burial will be in Magnolia 
Cemetery.  Please omit flowers.

Per death certificate he died 5 days short of his 73rd birthday.
