Virginian-Pilot January 10, 1939
Mrs. Cecil Morrow Smith Parr, aged 35, wife of Edward Payne Parr, died suddenly at 
her residence, 259 West Bute street, Saturday night at 10:30 o’clock. She was the 
daughter of the late Kemp Smith and Mrs. Rose Smith Swaffoed and was a native of 
West Virginia. She had been a resident of Norfolk for 25 years. Funeral services 
will be conducted tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock at the Derry Funeral Chapel, 
Colley and Harrington avenues. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
