Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark January 6. 1932

James W. Parrish, 40, died yesterday afternoon at his residence, 717 East 
Twenty-eighth Street. He formerly was employed as night manager of Robinson's 
Restaurant on Granby Street, opened up a small cafe on Tazewell Street about two 
weeks ago, but sold his interests last Thursday. He was at one time employed as 
a mechanic at the Tazewell Garage.
Mr. Parrish is survived by his wife, Mrs. Daisy Hall Parrish and a sister, Mrs. 
B.R. Weaver, of Mount Sidney, Va. He was a member of Norfolk Lodge 1, A.F. & 
A.M.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence, 717 East Twenty-eighth 
Street, tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
