Parrott, aged 72, husband of Mrs. Caroline A. Parrott and son of Robert D. and Mrs. Mary I. Baker Parrott, died at a local hospital yesterday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Mr. Parrott was a native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, residing at 529 Connecticut Avenue, Colonial Place, at the time of his death. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Miss Mary Angell Parrott, of Norfolk; five sons, Robert D. Jr., John A., William R. and T. Lane Parrott, all of New York and Frank B. Parrott, of Norfolk; three grandchildren and one brother, Frank B. Parrott, of Norfolk. The body was taken to the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, pending funeral arrangements. ************************************************************************ Robert D. Parrott - Funeral services for Mr. Parrott, whose death occurred Friday, were held at 10 o’clock yesterday morning at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church with the Rev. Leo J. Ryan, S.T.D., pastor, officiating. The Rev. E. P. Kilgalen, the Rev. T. P. Scannell, the Rev. James Albert, S.S.J., the Rev. J. Turner, S.S.J., and the Rev. J. O. Schmidhauser were in the sanctuary. During the service, the church choir sang, “Veni Jesu,” with Mrs. C. R. Davies as organist. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of Easter lilies, narcissus and maidenhair fern. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were Guy Ewing, Robert W. Shultice, Dr. M. S. Fitchett, Lester S. Parsons, George Pilcher, Sr., H. S. Thomas, Frank R. Veale, Dr. J. F. Woodward, L. T. Dobie and M. B. Wagenheim. Active pallbearers were Francis N. Doughty, Frank Hodgson, Arthur Hitch, William C. Riday, W. Garland Jones, William R. Parrott, Frank B. Parrott and Charles H.
