Virginian Pilot July 14, 1991

Seabright G. "Gay" Parrott, 83, a retired clerk, died July 13, 1991, in a 
hospital.
Mrs. Parrott was born in Norfolk. She retired from Howards Cleaners after 40 
years. She was the widow of Carl Parrott and a member of Park Place Baptist 
Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol P. Atkinson of Virginia Beach; a son, 
Charles A. Downing of Norfolk; a sister, Myrtle G. Harrell of Norfolk; and three 
grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 
Norfolk, by the Rev. Paul Watlington Jr. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. 
Friends may join the family at the funeral home from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today and 
afterward at the home of Charles Downing. Memorial donations may be made to the 
church.
