Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark June 30, 1919

Charles R. Parrott, 43 years old, died yesterday afternoon at 1:10 o'clock, at his 
home, 721 Reservoir Avenue. His death came after a long illness. The funeral 
services will be held from the residence at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, with 
Rev. J.T. Riddick officiating. The burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. He is 
survived by his wife, his father, C.H. Parrott, of Mathews County, Mrs. J.R. 
Surine of Mathews County, a sister and J.W. Parrott of Newport News, a brother.
