Mrs. Clara Parson, 74, of 932 Wood street, died June 1 at home following a 
long illness.  Funeral services were held June 4 at Bank Street Baptist Church 
with Dr. John B. Henderson, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Parson was a native of South Mills NC. She is survived by a daughter, 
Mrs. Lillian Lee of Norfolk;  and two brothers, Wiley Taylor of Norfolk VA and 
Claude Taylor of Elizabeth City NC.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with 
Morning Glory Funeral Home in charge.
