Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - January 27, 1992
Charles William Parsons, 72, of the 9500 block of Mason Creek Road, died Jan. 
25, 1992, in a hospital. 
Mr. Parsons was born in Kingwood, W.Va., and had retired from the Army after 21 
years. He had also retired from civil service after more than 30 years. He was a 
member of Miles Memorial United Methodist Church and was the widower of Margaret 
Floyd Parsons. Mr. Parsons was a member of the Ocean View Masonic Lodge 335 and 
Veterans of Foreign Wars 3160. He was an Army veteran of World War II and Korea.
Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Taylor of Highland Springs, Va., and 
Linda Gillick of Richmond; two sons, William J. Parsons and Charles W. Parsons 
Jr., both of Richmond; a stepson, Robert L. Fitez of Rolla, Mo.; a sister, 
Evelyn P. Meade of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Calvin J. Parsons Jr. of 
Pennsylvania and Richard C. Parsons of Uniontown, Pa.; and seven grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery 
by the Rev. Daniel K. Ivey. Friends may join the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today 
at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.
