Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark December 1, 1924
William Parsons, aged 58, died last night at 8:30 o'clock at a local hospital 
after an illness of one month.  Although a native of Norfolk he had been a 
resident of Newport News for the past 20 years.  He was a son of the late William 
and Mrs. Sarah Davis Parsons and is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Gertie King and 
Mrs. Edward Vanderberry and two brothers, Edward and George Chapel Parsons.  
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock at the funeral 
establishment of E. Lee Cox and Brother, 631 Westover avenue.  Burial will be in 
Cedar Grove Cemetery.
