Norfolk Virginian October 13, 1888

PARSONS - In this city, Sunday, October 12th, at 2:45 p.m. MICHAEL F. 
PARSONS, aged 58 years.
Funeral from late residence, No. 282 Church Street, TOMORROW (Sunday) 
AFTERNOON at 3 o'clock.  Friends and acquaintances are respectfully invited 
to attend.  Interment in Elmwood Cemetery.

At 3:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon, the funeral of Mr. Michael F. Parsons took 
place from his late residence, No. 283 Church Street and was very numerously 
attended, in fact, one of the largest seen in this city for some time.  The 
floral offerings were very numerous and in the most exquisite taste.  Rev. 
Father W. Gaston Payne, of St. Mary's Catholic Church, conducted the 
services and the remains were interred in Elmwood Cemetery.  The following 
gentlemen were the pallbearers:  Messrs. T.P.S. Carey, John S. Shipp, R.D. 
Nichols, W. Newstead, R.P. Lovitt, J.Dashiells and J.C. Carroll.
