Virginian-Pilot March 27, 1942
William J. Parsons, aged 79, son of the late M. F. and Mrs. Mary Hope Parsons, a 
native and lifelong resident of Norfolk, died yesterday morning at 4:10 o’clock at 
a local hospital. Surviving him are a sister, Mrs. Victor E. Bleecker, of 
Richmond; a niece and three nephews. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic 
Church. Services will be held at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will 
be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
