Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Monday, August 30, 1993 
Clayton Lee Parson Sr., of the 900 block of Oakwood St., a retired mechanic,
died Aug. 27, 1993, in a local nursing home, Virginia Beach.

Mr. Parson was born in South Norfolk, Va. He had retired from the U.S. Postal
Service, Norfolk. He was a member of St. Thomas A.M.E. Zion Church, Campostella,
Norfolk.

Survivors include his wife, Nora M. Parson; two daughters, Beverly Burney of
Clinton, Md., and Linda M. Sawyer of Norfolk; two sons, Joseph E. Parson III and
Clayton Lee Parson Jr., both of Norfolk; a brother, Joseph E. Parson Jr. of
Norfolk; and eight grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at noon Wednesday in Calvary Cemetery ,
Norfolk, by the Rev. Gary G. Davis. A family wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday in Fitchett Funeral Home.
