Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Thursday, September 13, 1990 
Julian Marshall Patterson, of the 900 block of Hanson Ave., a retired clerk,
died Sept. 10, 1990, in a hospital.

Mr. Patterson, a native of Coinjock, N.C., had retired from the Naval Air
Station after 27 years. He was the widower of Sadie Patterson. He was a emmber
and trustee of Greater Metropolitan A.M.E.Z. Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Dora P. Sturdivant of Norfolk and Gertrude P.
Lucas of New York City; a brother, George E. Patterson Sr. of Norfolk; and
several grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in Greater Metropolitan
A.M.E.Z. Church by the Rev. Joseph Lamb. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
Friends may join the family at the residence. The body will be placed in the
church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
