Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Saturday June 21, 1930
Leonard Richard Patterson, aged 51, died at his residence, 1300 Forty-ninth 
street, yesterday morning at 9:50 o'clock. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. 
Minnie Haywood Patterson; two sons, Cecil A. Patterson, of Washington, D.C., 
and Willard W. Patterson, of Norfolk; a daughter, Miss Kathleen I. 
Patterson; two sisters, Mrs. E.H. Smith and Mrs. J.D. Mallory; a brother, 
James F. Patterson; his step mother, Mrs. Kate Patterson, and two 
grandchildren. Mr. Patterson was a native of Bedford but had been a resident 
of Norfolk for 31 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home 
tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
