Rosemont Drive joined God's Heavenly Choir on Sunday, May 12, 2002. She was the widow of Jack Patterson, the daughter of Will Morris and Mary Morris Thompson, who preceded her in death. She was a retired civil servant. She was a member of Philadelphia Fellowship Baptist Church and sang for more than 50 years in the Cathedral and Senior Choir of Mount Lebanon Baptist Church. One sister, two brothers, two sons, Calvin S. Morris Sr. and Stanley Gorham, also predeceased her. She is survived by a daughter, Jean H. Taylor and a son, James Ronald Hawkins, both of Norfolk; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren including little Roslyn and Alexis of the home; three great-great-grandchildren; and a devoted son-in-law, Edward Taylor of Norfolk. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Graves Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie D. Joyner officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Norfolk.
