Patton, who died suddenly in Birmingham, Ala., Saturday, reached Norfolk yesterday morning, accompanied by Mr. E. T. Wilcox, secretary of the Southern Club of Birmingham, and Mr. Frank W. Bowron, of the Elks of that city. The remains were met at the depot of the Southern Railway by the following committee of the Elks of Norfolk and escorted to the home of Mr. H. D. Oliver, a brother-in-law of the deceased: Messrs. John P. Kevill, W. J. C. Stokeley and James H. Hughes. The funeral will take place from St. Mary’s Catholic church at 10 o’clock this morning, when solemn requiem mass will be celebrated.
