Norfolk Virginian Pilot Sunday March 21, 1954
George Paul Jr., 64, of Chestnut Street, Berkley, died yesterday afternoon at a 
Norfolk hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Berkley, son of the late George 
and Annie Paul. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bessie Paul, and one brother, 
Ernest Paul of Norfolk. The body was taken to Sykes Funeral Home where funeral 
services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. burial will be in Riverside 
Memorial Park.

George Paul - Funeral services for Mr. Paul, who died Saturday, were conducted 
yesterday at 2 p.m. at the Sykes Funeral Home by the Rev. O.D. Poythress, pastor 
of the South Norfolk Congregational Christian Church. Pallbearers were M.E. 
Nichols, R.C. Sawyer, R.L. Sears, A.C. Paul, S.E. Dowdy and J.C. Baker. Burial 
was in Magnolia Cemetery.
