Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Wednesday, August 11, 1993 
Geraldine S. Paul of the 7000 block of Auburn Ave., a retired clerk, died Aug.
9, 1993, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Paul was born in Norfolk, the daughter of the late Lexie T. and William H.
Smith. She was the widow of James A. Paul and a member of First Calvary Baptist
Church. She had retired from Paul H. Rose after 32 years of service.

Survivors include four daughters, Sylvia Armstead and Mildred Jones, both of
Chesapeake, Shirley Paul and Robin Spellman, both of Baltimore; two sons,
Sylvester Paul and Robert Paul, both of Chesapeake; one sister, Gladys S.
Vinson, and one brother, Robert E. Smith, both of Norfolk; 12 grandchildren and
five great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday in First Calvary Baptist Church
by the Rev. Calvin James. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The body will be
placed in the church at 9 a.m. Thursday. The family will assemble at 3209
Nightshade Court, Chesapeake. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
