He was a native of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania, and had been a resident of Norfolk County for 66 years. He was a son of the late Joseph P. and Mrs. Frances Wynkoop Paxson. Mr. Paxson was a member of the Atlantic Lodge No. 42, A.F.&A.M. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Ida Grace Wise Paxson; one daughter, Miss Bessie Mae Paxson, of Norfolk County; two sons, Finley I. Paxson, of Lynnhaven, and Nicholas Wise Paxson, of Norfolk County; a sister, Mrs Sadie Paxton Benton, Trotville, NC, and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Cox Funeral Home tomorrow at 2 p.m. by the Rev. L. V. Ruckman, Sr., pastor of the Oaklette Methodist Church. Burial will be in Riverside Memorial Park.
