Thomas A. Payette, 68, died Sept. 15, 1998, in a local nursing home.

He was a barber for 40 years with Willard Barber Shop and was in the Navy Reserves 
for seven years.

Mr. Payette is survived by one brother, Aldor J. Payette Jr., and his wife, Ruth 
Lucille, of Chesapeake; a nephew, Aldor J. "Chip" Payette III, of Richmond; and a 
niece, Lucille "Sandy" Gutterman of Reno, Nev.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Matthews Catholic Church. 
Interment will be private in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Altmeyer Funeral Home, 
Virginia Beach, is handling arrangements.
