The obsequies of Mr. George Payne, whose demise occurred at St. Vincent’s Hospital 
at an early hour Thursday morning, took place from the Hospital Chapel at 2:30 
o’clock yesterday afternoon, and were conducted by the chaplain, Rev. Father 
Lavidori.  The remains were laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery. There were no 
pallbearers.
